River Kayaking
Single Person KayaksDriftys offers a variety of single person kayaks to enjoy your float down the Kickapoo River. We have different sizes(dependant upon availability) that offer our customers different options to best fit your needs. Driftys uses kayaks manufactured by Old Town, the most trusted manufacturer of canoes and kayaks. Driftys has a fleet of approximately 100 single person kayaks for our customers. Old Town models that are offered at Driftys include the Vapor 10XT, Dirigo and Otter. The variety of models we offer allow for better sizing for our customers. Paddling the Kickapoo River in a single person kayak is an amazing experience. The kayaks are easy to manuever, and allow you the individual freedom to explore the river at your own pace and create your own experience. Driftys single day rental for a single kayak is $40. |

Junior KayaksDriftys also has a limited number of junior kayaks, also made by Old Town, available for those who would love to introduce your kiddo to the world of kayaking, but are unable to because of the size of adult kayaks. Our junior kayaks are smaller than adult kayaks and offer a tag-a-long rope so you can give your kiddo freedom, yet still be able to be near them at a moments notice. Double KayakDriftys offers double kayaks for those people who want to experience the Kickapoo River in a kayak along with someone else. The Twin Heron, manufactured by Old Town, offers great stability while enjoying the river with your partner. Driftys single day rental for a double kayak is $60. |

Make sure to reserve your kayaks for the dates you want, as we do tend to book out in advance. Also note that kayaking is an amazing way to experience the Kickapoo River. They are easy to manuever and maintain control.
Many of our customers that have canoed and tubed the Kickapoo River return and say that they will always rent a kayak from us in the future. While kayaking the Kickapoo, please be informed that the kayaks offer limited space for coolers compared to a canoe. A soft sided cooler is recommended.
All prices at Driftys include the rental kayak, paddles, life-jackets, sales tax and shuttle.
